We are interested in everything from eco-construcion and carpentry to permaculture, cultural exchange and mountain sports for our travelling homeschooling family.
Description
Hi. We are Elina and Robbie, from Ireland and Scotland originally but have spent most of our lives living in Southern Spain. We are travelling with our 2 sons, age 13 and 8 and our ancient dog in a caravan around Europe for the next year. Travel has always been a big part of our lives and most of our journeys have revolved around work projects, mainly carpentry and renovations, or sports and outdoor activities (cycling, hiking, mountain sports). This year as part of our journey we would love to join into some family based projects making use of our varied skills but also as a way for our children to connect with other families or travelling communities along the way to enrich their experience. We are easy-going, get stuck into work easily, have our own accommodation if you have the space for it, speak fluent English, Spanish and decent French and are looking forward to whatever comes our way.

Hi, I'm Elina. I work in the travel industry and have also had plenty of experience in event organisation and production. My skill range goes outside of this, having had many years working with my partner Robbie in construction. He is a trained architecht and structural carpenter and together we have covered three full renovations of houses in Spain and Slovenia. As parents, we can throw in logistical skills, love getting stuck into art and crafts and have worked teaching English to small children. We are happy to turn our hand to just about anything you can throw at us. If we don't know how to do it we will ask and be happy to learn anything new and outside of our skillset and are looking forward to the new experiences that will come our way.

What else ...
We are a couple but are travelling as a family with our two boys, age 8 and 13 and our dog. We have our own accommodation (trailer caravan) and so would not require somewhere to stay. We hope that if it fits for your needs we can either be involved with our children depending on the job, or we can take turns to work and be flexible with what you offer in return, that's not so important to us. We are looking to share some time, our experience, and connect with other people and hopefully families along our journey over the coming year.
