Hello! My name is Melania, I’m 36 years old and originally from Argentina. I hold an Italian passport.
I’ve been living in Europe since 2005 and have also spent extended periods in Australia and India. I truly enjoy learning from different cultures and from the people I meet along the way.

I’m a responsible, respectful and caring person. I value order, a simple lifestyle and a healthy balance between active days and calm evenings. I enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, swimming and canyoning, and I make a conscious effort to live in an environmentally responsible way.

I have over 14 years of professional experience working with children (ages 0–15), as well as more than 10 years of experience in hospitality. One of my most enriching experiences was working for five years as a nanny for an Australian family with four children. This role helped me develop strong skills in responsibility, flexibility, patience and communication. During that time, I also studied coaching, which supported my personal and professional growth.

🔹 Important note about the exchange

Due to my professional background, I am not looking for a classic volunteer role.
I am interested in a clear and respectful exchange, where a defined number of professional childcare hours per week is exchanged for:

- a private room

- 2 meals per day

I work best when:

working hours are clearly agreed in advance

responsibilities are defined

personal time and boundaries are respected

I believe this structure creates a much better experience for both the family and myself.
I’m happy to have a conversation to see if we are a good match and to share references if needed.

I’m looking for a short-term arrangement (1–3 months) as a first step while I settle in Copenhagen

Tengo 14 años de experiencia cuidando niños (de 0 a 15 años) y 10 años de experiencia en trabajo de hostelería como camarera. Tambien trabajé en el campo en Australia.

Mi trabajo como niñera con la familia australiana durante 5 años con 4 niños fue la experiencia más gratificante y enriquecedora que tuve en mi vida.
Mientras trabajaba con ellos estudié coaching y eso me ayudó a crecer como persona.
Con esta familia aprendí muchísimas cosas increíbles que no se enseñan en ninguna universidad.
Ser flexible para hacer lo que se necesita en cada momento, cuando nada ea fijo y constante con los niños y centrarme en la solución en lugar de centrarme en el problema me ayudó y me ayuda mucho en mi vida diaria.

Haga lo que haga, me gusta hacerlo bien. Con energía, enfocada, y sin prisas o estress. Me gusta hacer las cosas con amor por que así las disfruto. Ya sea limpiar, cocinar, construir, jardineria,etc.

I have 14 years of experience taking care of children (from 0 to 15 years old) and 10 years of experience in hospitality work as a waitress.  I also did farm work in Australia for 3 months.

My work as a nanny with an Australian family during 5 years with 4 kids was the most rewarding and very enriching experience.
While working with them I did study coaching and that helped me to grow as a person.
With this family I learned so many great things that I wouldn't learn in any university. Doing whatever is needed in that moment and focusing in the solution rather thab focusing in the problem helps me a lot in my daily life.

Whatever I do, I like to do it well. With energy, focused, and without rushing or stress.  I like to do things with love because I enjoy them. Whether it's cleaning, cooking, building, gardening, etc.
