I am very keen to learn German but in Berlin, where I have just moved for one year, most people speak English. I want to make new friends outside the city who will help me learn practical everyday German while I am keeping busy doing jobs to help around the farm, the garden or the house. I love the fresh air and discovering new places. I like to cook, to walk, to swim and to listen to music.

I am a journalist so I am mainly skilled with words and story telling. But I can also cook, clean and drive and do basic gardening. Very keen to learn new skills.

I have four sisters, two grown up daughters, one husband and nine nephews and nieces.
One of my sisters runs a cookery school so I get tips from her.
I have just written my first book and I have spent most of my career as a BBC radio presenters of foreign affairs documentaries.
