Hi - I’m Max!

I’m happiest when I’m contributing to something worthwhile as part of a team! If that involves learning how things work and getting broken things working again even better, I’ve just completed my Interdisciplinary Engineering degree at Sheffield University.

I love being outdoors and spend most of my holidays cycle touring, kayaking, canoeing and hiking around the UK. I've heard that Spain is the best place to learn to paraglide and so I'm very keen to learn more about that.

I’m also very interested in cooking (and eating) food from new cuisines and would love to learn about the food that you enjoy from your home.

I'm currently 3 weeks into my first workaway in Villabre in the mountains of Asturias helping to repair a house and building a terraced garden. I've been really enjoying the landscape and contributing to something working with my hands, plus cooking lots of lentils and beans.

I'm a beginner but since I've been in Spain I've been actively learning Spanish every day and would like to continue that so I'm looking for Spanish speaking hosts ideally.
