Activities i am interested in:
Travelling to Canada I look forward to jumping in a lake in the morning as I love ice bathing :) Also if there is a possibility to go rock climbing or slack lining, I wouldn‘t miss a chance!
My next destination:
Whitehorse, Canada - from Nov 2024 until Mar 2025 View allDescription
Hello there, I am Matteo! Having already travelled to many countries with my family, I look forward to my first big solo adventure! I want to use the time exploring the world to gather knowledge and experiences.
I would describe myself as an open-minded, inquisitive and humorous traveller, who enjoys adventure, meeting other people and having fun in nature :)
I love doing sports, let it be rock climbing, mountaineering, cycling, athletics, orienteering, …
Furthermore I play the piano and am in possession of a harmonica and an ukulele. I know some chords and melodies but anyone being able to teach me more is welcome :)
I am a certified Youth Leader for climbing. Every year I spend time in a holiday climbing camp belaying children aged 8-17, ensuring safety standards and organizing group activities. That is great fun, because once I was a child taking part in these camps and now I can give something back.Interests

More details about your skills
Having spent loads of my freetime outdoors, I genuinely enjoy all kinds of activity outside.
Back in the days I used to spent time with my little brother in the woods building shelters, carving wood and doing other kinds of bushcraft. This interest in working with wood hasn’t changed. What I love about it is, that you create something new that has never been in this world before.
A great teacher was my grandpa who introduced me into handling tools like the drilling machine, circular saw or simply a wrench at a very early age. Together with him we built a fully functional tree house.
I can also be an aid when it comes to repairing a bike or small sewing work.
I don’t mind getting dirty and greasy and have absolutely no problem with physically demanding work.
Soft skills could be logical thinking (I love maths and physics), the ability to communicate properly in English and the stamina to complete tiring, exhausting work no matter how long it takes.Age

What else ...
The one that genuinely inspired me to come to Canada is Jack London. He didn‘t tell me in person about the beauty of this land, but reading his novels I knew that one day I have to go there. So here I am :)
