Hello! My name's Matthew. I was born and raised in the US. I went to school for finance, but after I graduated I felt pretty dissatisfied with cubicle life, so I decided to travel around for a month or two to see the world a little bit. That was two years ago :)
I love to expose myself to new ideas and new ways of living, to explore nature as well as cities, and to make friends with people I meet along the way.
Nothing makes me happier than meeting cool people and exchanging stories and ideas - learning songs from one another, or a different ways of cooking a certain meal, or just hanging out and philosophizing.

Much of my travel so far has been through WWOOF, which I used to live and work in Hawaii, Alaska, and Maine. I'm very much used to farm work, which involves lots of carrying around heavy buckets and bags, gardening, landscaping, caring for animals, cleaning both outdoor and indoor areas, cooking dinners, and so on. More importantly, I think living on a farm creates a strong work ethic that translates well to any job, anywhere in the world.
