Description

Hi! I am a volunteer from Paris. Being from France, I also lived in many other countries abroad (including Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria).

I used to work and volunteer previously in France and abroad in many NGO and organizations involving social help towards people in need (i.e. shelters for homeless, or drug users). I consider empathy and mutual understanding between people and cultures being among the most important personal values to myself. Nature lover as well, the ecology and the defence of environment are also other important values in mind.

From Paris to any village, I love as well to discover the beauty of every kind of place. Like many volunteers, I love of course to travel as well, like into backpacking. I would definitely be keen to be in a place in a place that is involving those values, either in solo or in a workteam. I believe that any new experience in a new field or kind of work is good to take for my own personal achievement.

More details about my language interests
Being curious in every world's culture, I've been interested a lot in languages as they've been part of every society. Besides French, I can speak English, and have some knowledge in German. I've been also learning Russian, Croatian and Spanish.I have teached French lessons to migrants in Paris, and to local Croatian people during my volunteering in Croatia as well.

I have been a graduated student in Political science. My studies were made in Orléans and Paris (France), but I also experienced one year of international exchange in Krakow (Poland). If public communication is my main field of study, I used to volunteer in many different areas involving help towards foreigners or people in need.

In the university in France, I used to be part of Erasmus Student Network, an organization aiming to help foreign students (Erasmus and other international) to include them in the social life of the college and the city overall with many different events.

I have been volunteering then in a shelter (of the Salvation Army organization) that was welcoming precarious people, mainly homeless people and migrants in Paris. There, we were organizing many different events (games, music, French courses, cuisine, sport, cultural visits of Paris...) to help them integrate or socialize into the surrounding environment. Ultimately, we were giving company to them. As well, we were helping them in administrative matters, contacted other associations that could help them, as well as giving general help.

In Croatia, I have been in the European solidarity corps (ESC) in a local NGO helping drug users by reducing the self-harm. The goal was to provide them clean needles and materials, to provide them a safer use. Events to raise awareness on diseases provoked by bad use of drugs and/or sex (AIDS, hepatisis...) have been also organized. We were also cleaning the areas of the city where were found used needles.

What else ...

In France and abroad, I was engaged in many social movements and political parties, aside my NGO volunteerings. Those included the defence of environment and ecology, as I consider it to be the most important cause of our century. Linked with politics, history, geography and sociology are other points of interest.

I also love hiking, photography, cinema and food. Finally, hanging out and constantly meeting new and different people from various cultures is also something very important to me.
