Description
Hello! My name is Maranda, and I am so happy to meet you :)
I am American, born in Illinois and raised in Indiana, I've lived in California (LA, SF) as well as New York (East Village), and now I am eager to travel and experience more!
I am deeply inspired by nature, and find joy in discovering places, cuisines, and cultures. I am described by those I work with as "a ball of sunshine" and I'd like to think I can add some value wherever I go.
I've had a career in corporate banking, and most recently in the startup scene, and I now I am ready for my next adventure - sharing life with beautiful souls around the world. In my next career, I hope to become a storyteller and illustrate some beautiful moments from my journey. We'll seeInterests

I grew up in rural Indiana - my dad was a mechanic, and I was his shadow. My first job was as a janitor at our church, and my second was in farm work. I am no stranger to tough or dirty jobs! In Indiana I purchased a house (built in 1898) with my brother and we ripped it to the studs, refinished it, and resold it. I am not trained in plumbing or electric, but I can paint/plaster/build/etc
I have a degree in fine art, and I have worked in event production and set design. I am quite handy with tools, DIY projects, etc. I am crafty! Most recently I've been reworking glass bottles into wall-hung vases to hydroponically grow herbs and plants. These have been a beautiful way to add life and color to NYC offices and apartments that have minimal light or area to grow. I am always thinking of creative ways to utilize what's around.
Physically I am comfortable with a hammer, drill, yard work, painting, small scale metal smithing, mentally I have graphic design and drawing experience as well as UX/UI, copy writing and I am a Customer Experience expert.Age

What else ...
My goal is to one day be a writer and illustrator of whimsical children's books, and I am collecting the stories I wanted to read when I was young.
I love to read, write, craft and draw. My favorite way to get around is on a bicycle, and I try to snorkel whenever I get the opportunity. I love watching documentaries and spending time with people and pets. I am also very happy solo, in my my own space :)Some more information
