Hello! Our names are Emma and Mark.
We are an Australian/Scottish couple who met four years ago when Emma moved to sunny Australia. We are now embarking on an exciting year long adventure through Central and South America. We are excited to explore new cultures, learn new skills and explore the beauty of our planet.
We live in Cairns, in Tropical Far North Queensland where we enjoy an outdoor lifestyle of camping, hiking and exploring the rainforest and waterfalls around us. We are very passionate about the outdoors and enviroment. We are both bubbily, freindly people who enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life.

Mark
I have worked for many years in a marine engineering capacity delivering goods by barge to remote Aboriginal and Torres straight Islander communities. I love working with my hands on new projects and solving problems. I have experience performing; home renovations, painting, landscaping, mechanical work, welding, steelwork, basic electrical work and 12v and low voltage work. I enjoy four wheel driving and regularly spend time modifing my car in my shed and working on other projects. I also have IT skills and experience with programming. I love the outdoors and am very passionate about consevation. I am very active and enjoy regular hikes and playing sports in my free time.
Emma
I am a trained Prosthetist/Orthotist (allied healthcare proffesional making prosthetics) and have worked in healthcare for the last ten years. My work is a mixture of clinical evaluation of patients, hands on technical work in the workshop and administration/reception duties. I have volunteered and worked in many hostels around the world including Australia, Spain and Bali. My duties have inbolved cleaning, working on reception, bartending, running the onsite cafe and providing travel advice. I have also ran many events at hostels including conservation projects, food tours and pub crawls. I also worked as an aupair for three children in Melbourne, Australia. In my free time I love to hike, play hockey and attend yoga classes.
