British Columbia, Canada - from May 2024 until May 2024 View allDescription
Hello everyone! My name is Marius, I'm 26 and I live in Montpellier, a city in the south of France.
I have a master's degree in chemistry and just finished an 8-month voluntary service with an association called "Sentinelles de Rivières", which aims to clean up Montpellier's waterways (nothing to do with chemistry). I've already had the chance to travel to many countries (Europe, North Africa, South Korea, the United States) with family and friends. But these trips have lasted 2 weeks at most, and today I'd like to have a long trip to take full advantage and immerse myself fully in a country.
So I've decided to go to Canada from February 15 to June 6! Why Canada? Because I grew up immersed in the North American sports/cinematographic/musical culture, because Canada's nature is magnificent, because my friends who went to Canada told me great things about Canadians (and most of them now want to live in Canada), because I'm a basketball fan and I dream of seeing an nba game and (more pragmatically) because I'm getting by in English and I want to be more at ease with oral expression.
I'll be on my own for the start of my trip from May 4 to May 29, and I want to use the opportunity to help people via Workaway.
I already used Workaway twice. It was a wonderful experience and way of travelling, therefore I want to do it again. My goal during this experience is to get to know my hosts, learn new things, help my hosts as best I can.
During my travels I love discovering local cultures, meeting new people, trying out the country's gastronomy, marvelling at beautiful landscapes, learning about the country's history, ...
My friends describe me as calm, curious, open-minded, clean and rigorous. I love sports (hiking, basketball, running, cycling, ...), watching movies/series, playing video games or board games.
I find that exchanging with people from another country is very enriching. Having the opportunity to travel is an incredible opportunity and I believe it's through these experiences that you build yourself as a human being in order to be a fulfilled person.Interests

Allergies
I have trouble digesting anything with a cow's milk base (butter, cow's milk, cream) whether raw or cooked. But I don't have a violent allergic reaction to cow's milk, so there's no problem if the dish contains traces of cow's milk.Special dietary requirements
I don't eat cow's milk products, but I have no problem eating goat's milk products. I'd be happy to help you find alternatives to cow's milk in dishes, or I can make my own if that's too restrictive :)
