  • Description

Mom of 2 teens. Nature lover, family lover, dog lover, bonfire lover. I live in a lovely wooden house in the Netherlands, close to the sea. Beautiful, but crowded. We also live in Sweden (Jämtland) part of the year, and spend quite some time travelling with our oldimer camper van. I am seeking to experience a deeper connection to my family, to nature, to our human nature. Do real things, together with other humans. Away from the rat race and all the things we were taught to pursue in this disconnected capitalist system. I most of all want to create a different experience for my two children aged 15 and 17 who are unschooled.

We have several food allergies and prefer to eat Paleo AIP or carnivore. We don't expect our hosts to accomodate that or share the same views... it's just nice to know. And we are used to bringing our own food, so no expectations there.

  • More details about your skills

I always have many husltes. I am a singer ( holistic health coach and I try to inspire others to rediscover their connection to nature and our nature as humans. As a health coach, I help children and adults turn mental and behavioral issues around through diet and lifestyle. It's super thankful work and if this is something I can help you with, I'd love to. I also take groups of children and adults on outdoor adventures. I love to teach about ancestrally appropriate living, about food, about the edible/medicinal/magical properties of plants and other outdoor/nature connection skills.

I have studied child psychology and have a lot of experience (both professionally and personally) with children that do not fit the standards. I also worked as a driving specialist (both on and off track), photographer and copywriter. The last 2 winters our family has been running a remote mountain lodge together (hotel and restaurant).

I am a quick learner and I am handy and fairly strong. I love to do practical work. Caring for animals, chopping wood, driving all sorts of vehicles. I love to pick up new skills.
I have experience with sheep, horses and also some experience as a dog handler at a husky kennel. I speak Dutch, English, Swedish, German and a bit of French. What I am looking for is a place to connect more to the natural world and spend my days doing real stuff.

My children are intelligent, social beings and they can be of great help. They both have plenty of experience taking care of younger children, working in a restaurant kitchen and a hotel business. Both are also quick learners.

Nora (17) is very knowledgeable when it comes to natural health, quantum biology and psychology. She is also learning about wild plants and makes natural skincare and cleaning products. She loves to experiment with food (paleo, carnivore, or allergen free, she is used to accomodate all different kinds of diets).

Gabriel (15) is a pretty handy guy, who has already done some work in construction, carpentry, animal care, and forestry. He is physically strong for his age, and very handy at driving all kinds of vehicles. Loves hanging out with younger kids.

Our family has several allergies. It would be great if the hosts can accomodate us, but I certainly do not expect you to. Very prepared to take care of our own meals and invite the hosts too! It is nice if host does not object to us eating meat.
