My name is Marilou, I’m a calm, positive, and easygoing person who loves helping out, learning new things, and connecting with people from different walks of life. I’ve just joined Workaway with the goal of traveling, discovering new cultures, picking up new skills (and languages!), and sharing good times along the way.

I enjoy working outdoors, cooking, doing sports, spending time with animals, and having a good laugh. I always try to give my best in whatever I do, and I truly enjoy being part of a team. Whether it’s gardening, DIY, helping around the house, or just having a good conversation, I’m happy to contribute however I can.

I’m curious, kind, and always up for learning something new and hopefully, sharing a bit of joy in the process. Looking forward to meeting you and being part of your project or daily life!

I'm very interested in learning new languages. At the moment, I’m studying Dutch at school, but I find it quite challenging, which is why I’d really love to improve it in a real-life setting. Being immersed in the language and culture would be a great opportunity for me, and I’m always motivated to learn and practice as much as I can!

I’m someone who loves doing things with care and attention, I always try to do my best, no matter the task. I currently work as a petsitter, so I’m very used to being around animals and taking care of them with patience and affection.

I also enjoy photography and video editing. Right now, I’m doing an internship at the Samusocial in Brussels, where I create videos to highlight their centers and social actions. It’s something I’m really passionate about.

While I don’t have a lot of technical or manual experience yet, I’m very eager to learn and I enjoy hands-on tasks like painting or small DIY projects. I'm curious and motivated, and I like learning by doing.

I’m organized, neat (some might say a little perfectionist!), and I enjoy working in clean, structured environments. I speak French and English fluently, and I have a basic knowledge of Dutch that I’d love to improve.

Whether it’s creative work, helping with animals, learning new manual skills, or simply being part of a meaningful project, I’m always happy to get involved and give it my full energy!

I'm really passionate about video editing and photography, I enjoy capturing moments and creating stories through images and sound. I also do theatre, which helps me express myself and stay creative.

In my free time, I love being outdoors: hiking, running, and enjoying nature are things that bring me a lot of peace. I also like playing sports in general, staying active helps me feel balanced and energized.

And when it’s time to slow down, I’m always up for a good board game. My grandma is my Scrabble coach, and believe me, she doesn’t go easy on me. I still haven’t beaten her… but one day, I will
