Hi! My name is Marie. I am 23 years old and currently on my first year of studying to become a nurse.
I have had three gap years, where two were spent on working in day care for children in the age between 1-6 (mostly 1-3 y.o.). When I wasn't working, I travelled a lot – both solo and with friends, family and my boyfriend.

I have been doing workaday three times before – first alone in Croatia for 6 weeks in a dog-hotel, which was an amazing experience. Then with my boyfriend in Vietnam (doing farmwork, animal care and picking coffee etc.) and Cambodia (doing maintenance, cleaning, farmwork, playing with kids etc.) – each place for about one week.
Now I would love another great adventure and possibly learn some more about gardening, self-sufficiency and experience France and its culture outside of the cities!

I have always been a very curious and motivated person, that enjoy working and helping people. I love being active – especially in nature, learning new skills, being creative with e.g. yarn-projects or sewing, and get my hands dirty by planting or cooking. Not to speak of my BIG love for animals!
I am also very interested in sustainability and always trying to live as sustainable as possible – e.g. mostly buying second hand clothes and furniture, and caring for the nature around me:))

I have since the age of 15 been working different jobs that are all very different, which have giving me some different skills. I am a quick learner and is motivated for learning new skills.
I have been working in a delicacy for 7 years, where i have gained knowledge about european cheeses and learned how to give good costumer service. This job is also very physically, which I don't mind at all.
I have also been cleaning for my parents for many years. By putting on some good music and seeing progress, I really enjoy cleaning and organizing. I don't mind getting my hands dirty at all.
I see myself as a very caring person. I spend two gap-years working with children, which gave me a lot of tools and insight on how to be around and give good care for children.

I have some experience in gardening – both from home and from my previous workaway stays.

I am a very creative person, who spend a lot of time knitting, chrocheting and sewing. I have played the piano since i was 10 and really enjoy music in general.
I can be a bit perfectionistic, which I would say mostly is an advantage – but also an area where I could evolve by getting better at accepting imperfections!.

I am very passionated about nature and I find plants and physiology most intriguing. Which is also why i now study nursing:)
