Hello,

My name is Maria and I am 19 years old. I live with my mom, dad and little brother in a city called Kolding.

Currently, I have my first gap year. I graduated this summer from International Business College, Denmark. I studied marketing and economy in an international class. Until now, I have worked in a store which sells bags, suitcases and accessories. I really like the job because I get in touch with a lot of different types every day.

I will describe myself as a caring, positive and open-minded person. It is important to me that people around me are happy. I always give an extra effort.

Now I will explain my motivation to become a workawayer. Learning and exploring is a motivation for me. I always strive to challenge myself. I have always been curios about the world, and since I got the chance I have been a traveler. When I was in high school, I chose an international line. Throughout high school, I have lived with two different host families. One in Northern Ireland and one in the US. The two times I have stayed with a host family have left a huge positive impression. I find it very inspiring to meet new people, and it is a way for me to develop as a person. I hope I have the same effect on people.

My experiences in the big world bought me happiness. That is what I am looking for.

I am flexible as a fast learner and curious/open to learning new things, which I see as my strenghts. Also, I am patient and independent. I have skills in the kitchen, in the garden and have some IT-expertise. I usually help with the house on daily basis. I have experience working in a warehouse, which also means I can help with heavy work. I am a strong and healthy woman. I have played soccer almost my entire life and besides that I do a lot of fitness.

I am interested in the nature and I do want to experience the nature around me. My newest hobby is hiking and I hope I get a lot of chances to experience the nature. I love to play all kind of board games. I am very social and like to be around people. Also, I do need to rest and I find it peacefully to walk and listen to music when I rest. Furthermore, I, as earlier mentioned, do a lot of sports and am an active person. I also like to crochet, shop and eat local food. I watch a lot of football and my favorite team is Manchester United. I plan to go to football matches in the different areas when I travel.
