Currently in Bangkok/Thailand

Hi, I am Manuel :)
The last two years I mainly spent traveling, working abroad and volunteering.
Back home I have an office job which I paused for a while, probably returning to it in 2026.

I want to travel to places I haven’t heard much about before 🌏
I am happy in a quiet place, while listening to music, while in good company and when I fly my drone 😇

I‘ve worked for 8 years as an Financial Analyst in an international company with several trips abroad. Core tasks besides crunching numbers and working with our softwares were trainings and workshops.
I am structured and well organized and can work independently.

Spending the last years with two younger siblings (13 & 17 years old now) gives me a good basis for working with kids.

I did a volunteering in a hostel in Kyrgyzstan with mainly tasks in social media, website and general admin stuff including working with Canva and Microsoft Office, but also supporting with housekeeping, small maintenance works and tour guiding.

I also did a volunteering at Care Connection Thailand Foundation supporting their Superhero English project which provides English classes to primary schools, kindergartens and orphanages in Bangkok and the surrounding provinces. So I am gained some basic teaching skills. I liked it so much that I joined the project again several times after.

For both Workaway hosts I was creating short advertisement videos with shots from my drone and my iPhone. I discovered my passion to learn more about video editing. Let me know if you want to see an example of my work or if you can teach me things in this area🙂

In Australia I stayed with different families in the surrounding of Melbourne. I have mainly worked outside but also joined family weekend trips and spent time with the kids. My tasks included:
- making properties bush fire proof (raking, collecting and burning wood)
- splitting fire wood
- gardening
- supporting maintenance projects
- support in daily tasks

I have an international drivers license and 13 years experience driving.
I have driven in countries in Europe, Middle East and US (right-hand traffic) and in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Thailand (left-hand traffic) and would consider myself a good and safe driver.
