Dear hosts,

I'm Mandy, 19 years old, and after finishing high school, I want to take a period of orientation to gain new experiences and explore different perspectives. For that I am travelling through Europe (on a budget).
I started my journey in July, 2023 and I already learned a lot, going through Ups and Downs, meeting new people, seeing different lifestyles, listening to life stories..

A bit about me:
I was born and raised in Karlsruhe (Germany). While most of my friends think the city boring, I personally think that Karlsruhe is a beautiful place to settle down. Nevertheless, I find it important to broaden my horizons. My parents are from Vietnam and China.

Currently, I am going through a small crisis regarding my future plans (whether to study or pursue vocational training), and I hope that this journey will provide me with new insights into various fields.

I would describe myself as a fairly balanced person. I feel comfortable both indoors and outdoors, whether it's playing volleyball, soccer, watching series, or playing video games. In fact, I built my own PC, so I can at least try to help you out with any technical difficulties you might encounter :)

Hey liebe Hosts,

ich bin Mandy, 18 Jahre alt und möchte nach meinem Abi eine Orientierungsphase einlegen und neue Erfahrungen sammeln, sowie andere Perspektiven kennenlernen.
Dafür reise ich durch Europa mit begrenztem Budget. Ich habe mein Abenteuer im Juli, 2023 gestartet und habe bereits viel gelernt, bin durch gute und schlechte Phasen gegangen, habe neue Menschen kennengelernt, sah verschiedene "Lifestyles", hörte verschiedene Lebensgeschichten..
Dafür bin ich allen dankbar auf meinen Wegen :)

Zu mir:
Ich bin in Karlsruhe geboren und aufgewachsen. Auch wenn die meisten in meinem Freundeskreis die Stadt langweilig finden, finde ich, dass Karlsruhe ein ziemlicher schöner Ort ist, um sich niederzulassen. Trotzdem finde ich es wichtig, seinen Horizont zu erweitern.
Meine Eltern kommen aus Vietnam und China.

Außerdem befinde ich mich gerade in einer kleinen Krise in Hinblick auf die Zukunft (Studium/Ausbildung...) und erhoffte mir deshalb auch neue Einblicke in verschiedene Bereiche.

Ich würde mich als ziemlich ausgeglichene Person beschreiben. Sowohl drinnen als auch draußen fühle ich mich ziemlich wohl. Sei es Volleyball, Fussball, Serien schauen oder Videospiele spielen.
Tatsächlich habe ich meinen eigenen PC selbst zusammengebaut, sodass ich zumindest versuchen kann, euch bei technischen Schwierigkeiten zu helfen :)

Ich habe ca. 2 Jahre als Putzkraft in zwei Privathaushalten gearbeitet (Küche, Sanitäranlagen, Wischen, Saugen).
Keine Berührungsängste mit Tieren (außer Insekten!!! >.<
Immer bereit zu lernen
Außerdem freue ich mich über Abwechslung

I worked as a cleaner in two households for about 2 years (kitchen, toilets, mop, hoover) and already did a few workaways at farms, familys, hostel..
I also worked at a festival once (Rock am Ring)
Im always happy to learn something
In addition I am pleased to do various things (not always the same monotonous task)
