If you’re looking for a reliable, adventurous, and big-hearted soul to add a spark to your community, look no further, here I am! I love traveling and meeting new people and learning from each other. I wholeheartedly believe in being the change I wish to see in the world. I think what we need most right now is love, laughter, kindness, true community, and open arms. That’s exactly what I hope to give (and find!) wherever I volunteer.

I come with lets do it- attitude and bundles of energy. Whether it’s getting my hands dirty in the garden, helping out at a campsite, or laughing with new friends, I’m happy jump in, help out and make magic happen. Staying physically active is my thing if there’s a job to be done or an adventure to be had, you can bet I’m already lacing up my shoes!

Turkey, a what a love story! My very first visit to Istanbul in 2008 stole my heart, and every trip since (hello, Adana and Antalya!) has been an adventure full of breathtaking nature and even warmer people, and please lets not forget the incredible and tasty food. I’ve picked up some Turkish, become a fan of the music and even started plucking away at the short neck baglama (apologies in advance to your ears, but I promise enthusiasm!). If there’s something Turkish to try, count me in!
My hobbies? So many! From practicing yoga and losing myself in a good book, to cycling, running, and joining in on any fun that brings people together. Having grown up in a small Finnish town, nature and animals are in my DNA so volunteering with both is my happy place and truly what brings peace and joy to me.

With a background in tourism and hospitality, I bring practical skills and a warm, welcoming spirit to every project. Campsites? Hiking trails? Nature reserves? Yes, please! Outdoor adventures and caring for animals make my heart sing and I’m eager to roll up my sleeves and pitch in wherever needed.

I have worked in hotels and at Booking.com so I have extensive knowledge in tourism & hospitality. I have also completed by bachelor in Tourism and Hospitality management. Part of the studies was also adventure tourism where we went hiking, canoeing and climbing so I am pretty familiar with camping life. Overall I am a very athletic person and I am quite good with moving outdoors and doing sports. I would even be up for leading groups. I could also possibly teach yoga, I have never taught before but I have been practicing for 6 years. I would also love teach football, I have coached children previously.

I am also good at gardening and love being busy in the nature overall. I get along with animals very well and have a basic knowledge about dogs.

I am somewhat familiar with Instagram also so I can help with Instagram content if needed.

I find joy in connecting with people, nature & animals. I like discussing complex things and find psychology and human/animal behavior quite interesting. I am looking forward to learning from people I would meet during the workaway as each of us has a unique experience in life and that brings also a unique way of looking at things.
