Hello there!
I’m a recent psychology graduate originally from Germany who has spent the last five years studying in the Netherlands. After five years of hard thinking and sitting behind my desk, I'm taking a break from academia to dive into hands-on work, outdoor exploration, and cultural exchange across Europe. My curiosity and love of learning have always pushed me to pick up new skills quickly—whether it's a language, a craft, or even a bit about farming!
While traveling, I always wanted to connect with locals and experience the country from an insider’s perspective, and this platform seemed perfect for that. Additionally, I am happiest in a warm, welcoming home surrounded by nature. Someday, I hope to build my own little homestead with a vegetable garden, farm animals, and plenty of home-cooked meals from scratch. Until then, I’m so excited to travel around, see new places, learn new skills, and meet new people!Interests

More details about your skills
I'm currently volunteering at a small "children's farm," where kids can visit, pet, and feed the animals or play at the water playground. The farm is home to a lovely mix of animals—horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, guinea pigs, bunnies, and even bees! There’s also a little café where we serve drinks and snacks, and we often organize fun activities for the children, like treasure hunts and face painting.
I’ve always loved caring for animals. Growing up, I was definitely a “horse girl,” and I enjoyed taking care of our cat, but I genuinely enjoy spending time with all kinds of animals.
I’m also passionate about cooking and baking, so I’m happy to jump in and help with anything related to that.
Beyond the children’s farm, I have experience working with kids through babysitting and teaching swimming to 6-8-year-olds, which has been a lot of fun!
When it comes to fixing things, I've had my fair share of hands-on experience (I’ve even used a drill a couple of times!). All the furniture in my student room was thrifted and customized with my boyfriend’s help, and I’ve painted my walls multiple times. In my all-girls student house, I was the "dad" of the group, fixing door handles and other small things here and there. I’m curious and open to learning any new skills that come up!
In my studies, I focused on (clinical) psychology, so I’m always up for a chat about anything related. If you ever need help with research, like designing a survey or analyzing results, I’d be glad to pitch in.
I’m fluent in German (my native language), English (the language of my studies), and Dutch (from my life here), and I’m happy to practice or teach any of them with you.
For sports, I’ve done water rescue swimming and played volleyball for years, so I love both. I also know some basics of sailing, skiing, and ice skating—although I’m still learning in those areas.
During my studies, I was quite active in student committees. I served as a trust person for two associations, was the team captain of my volleyball team, and held a position on the board of a sailing association. These experiences taught me a lot about conflict management. I also did some social media and poster design work, which I’d be glad to help with too.Age

Most of all I loved that she loved gardening, it was really nice to see her connecting to Earth as she put her hands in the soil.
I wish you the best of luck with your adventures! See you soon
We had some really nice conversations and deep-talks about life and psychology, which I enjoyed a lot!
