Dear Family,
My name is Maeva Nascimento Proenca, and I am 20 years old. I am passionate about discovering new cultures, engaging in intercultural exchange, and also sports, which is a true passion of mine. Originally from France, I have always been interested in learning languages despite my difficulties with English, as well as meeting people from diverse backgrounds. Learning English will help me grow in the career I wish to pursue, which is in the field of event management, and it will also be useful in everyday life.
As an au pair, I am convinced that this experience will be beneficial both for me and for your family. I am a responsible, creative, and energetic person. I love taking care of children, sharing fun moments, and creating unforgettable memories with your family.
My previous experiences as a childcare provider have allowed me to develop strong skills in attending to children’s needs while remaining cheerful and caring.
In addition to looking after the children, I am willing to help with household tasks and participate in the family’s daily activities. I am also eager to share my own cultural knowledge and to learn new traditions and customs from your country. I have already visited Ireland on a school trip and loved the culture and the interaction with the local people.

I love all kinds of board games and I’m easygoing: I enjoy adapting to any type of game, which allows me to create fun and friendly moments with the children. I am also passionate about sports, especially football and fitness, which makes me energetic and always ready to suggest playful and active activities.
Outside of that, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going for walks, visiting new places, and discovering new things. I am curious, open-minded, and motivated to have a wonderful cultural experience in Ireland.
