Description
Hi :)
I just started writing my Master thesis about climate change impact in the arctic and didn't see why I should linger around in one place for this. Instead, I decided to explore beautiful Scandinavia! My previous workaway experiences in Asia, the UK and Central America, belong to some of the most beautiful memories in my life and I’m excited to continue learning, meeting inspiring people, and helping out wherever I can along the way! At previous hosts, I worked mostly on farms, took care of animals, played with children, worked as a waitress and helped out with DIY and other projects around the house.
A bit about myself:
Originally, I am from Germany, did my BSc. in Sustainable Energy Transition on Gotland, Sweden and one year ago moved to Copenhagen for my Master in Climate Change. Overall, I am very much into everything environmental and sustainability related and always happy to learn more about it. I love working outside and am not afraid of mud or bad weather. In my spare time I enjoy crafting around, playing medium-well guitar and sometimes paint. Recently, I also discovered Afro beat dancing and photography.
Some personal requirements:
I'm sadly super allergic to cats, so I can't sleep in a room, where a cat hangs out sometimes. Outside, or if the cat just sometimes comes into shared spaces, it is no problem. Also, for my thesis I would need a mostly-good wifi connection and maybe some quiet space where I can type some smart words and have video calls with my supervisor.
Thank you for checking out my profile and feel free to message me if there are any further questions. Otherwise, I am very much looking forward to meet you!Interests

More details about your skills
Skill-wise I bring everything that I learned during my studies, which includes aspects of sustainability, environmental protection and how humans affect and can facilitate both. As that was all quite theoretical, I would love to broaden my perspective and learn more about it from other countries.
Over the years I have worked in different jobs , mostly in the service industry (café, restaurant, boats rent, plant store) and am quite experienced with customer interactions and team work. In Sweden, I volunteered in the community kitchen, where the food waste from the local super markets was used to cook dishes.
Outside of this, I enjoy cooking together, all kinds of arts and crafts (wood carving, pottery, jewellery, acrylic painting), kayaking, and although not super good to play some instruments.
The work at previous workaway hosts included mostly gardening and animal care on different farms, but also working as an English teacher in a school and child care.
I love to work on the outside and will do my best to help you wherever you need a hand!Age

What else ...
(Please notice: I love cats, but I'm badly allergic to them. I can't sleep in a room, where a cat comes in sometimes. If the cat is just outside or in other parts of the flat/house , I'm all fine :) )

I am glad they enjoyed their stay and the food I cooked.
