  • Description

Hi I'm Liru (you can call me Lyra), a fourth-year history undergraduate from Peking University in China. I've taken a gap year to embrace new life experiences.

I like dance, hiking, backpacking, camping and literature. What truly motivates me is the process of building genuine connections with others. Seeing what I can do to help, and leaving a place a little better than I found it, brings me great happiness.

I am endlessly curious, always seeking to learn more about the world and the diverse lives within it.

  • More details about your skills

My greatest skills lie in teaching, sharing, and connecting with people. As a native Chinese speaker with fluent English, I love bridging cultures through language. My experience as a volunteer teacher in several remote parts of China has given me a rich toolkit for teaching and deep sense of patience and adaptability. I would be excited to share my language and culture with people around the world.

My other great passion is dance. With a background inChinese classical dance, modern dance and ballroom dance, I see movement as a universal language of joy. I'd be happy to lead simple, fun workshops for anyone interested! I also love share food and cook authentic Chinese meals for people

I'm good at creating a positive group atmosphere—have a few psychology-based games to break ice!

I am an enthusiastic and quick learner, always eager to embrace new challenges. Whether it's learning about your project, picking up a new practical skill, or just lending a hand wherever needed, I'm ready to dive in with a positive attitude.
