Description

I am an adventurous person who loves to travel and learn about new cultures and cuisines. I studied Environmental Science at University, so I love nature and learning about the environment. I have travelled to a lot of different countries, I don't plan to stop! I au paired for a family in Italy a few years and ago and became such a part of their family, we road tripped up through Italy, France and up to my family in the UK together. In June-July of this year I did a Workaway in the Netherlands, working on a farm, feeding and looking after an array of different animals, as well as getting stuck into farm maintenance tasks, such as painting, cleaning, mucking out and weeding. I love helping people and aspire to see the world doing just that.

Volunteering in Malawi 2018 -
I volunteered in Malawi for a month where I completed physically demanding projects, which included construction of chairs and tables for a local primary school, making briquettes, chalk boards and classroom equipment for one of the local communities, the building of a brick water tower on an agricultural farm, planting projects as well as working/ teaching children in a school.

Au-pairing, Italy 2019 -
I also au paired for a family in Italy where I looked after two children (8 and 16) and taught them English on different levels of complexity.

Kids summer holiday camp 2022 -
As a summer job I worked on a kids holiday park, I gained a lot of transferable skills, my main job was climbing instructor, where I had to be responsible for the kids safety and coach them through the different manoeuvres on the wall. I also coached segwaying, football and assisted archery. I also assisted with the nature activities which included RNLI water safety, pottery painting, pond dipping and safety bracelet making.

Farm work, Netherlands 2023 -
I have 13 years of experience working with and riding horses. I spent a month working on a farm in the Netherlands, feeding and looking after an array of different animals, as well as getting stuck into farm maintenance tasks, such as painting, cleaning, mucking out and weeding (I can also drive a small tractor).

Photography/editing -
I also love photography and can use adobe photoshop, Lightroom and illustrator confidently, I also have experience creating websites.

Raetihi Lodge
December 2023 - January 2024 (1 month)
I worked as a staff all rounder in a small team at an exclusive lodge in the Marlborough Sounds. My duties included, front of house, barista, bar tender and housekeeper. I provided exceptional customer service to lodge guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their stay. I was also tasked with redesigning the Raetihi lodge guest activity book using my graphic design skills.
