We’re Louis and Hope, a sociable couple in our twenties from Bristol, UK, excited to explore Canada in 2025! We love the outdoors—hiking, skiing, climbing, and connecting with wildlife are some of our favorite ways to spend time. We’re vegetarian, passionate about animals, and eager to learn new skills, especially related to farming, sustainable living, and hands-on projects.
Our goal is to travel around Canada, meet locals, discover hidden gems, and experience the country’s amazing landscapes and wildlife. We’re practical, hardworking, and versatile, with a range of skills to offer! We both spent a summer setting up UK festivals, building food stalls, tents, and yurts. Louis has two years of experience with a fencing contractor and currently works in construction, gaining carpentry and laboring expertise. Together, we’ve worked as part of a team on an Indonesian street food stall and have cheffing experience, making us confident and competent cooks.
We’re passionate about plants and gardening, with hands-on experience growing fruit and vegetables seasonally. Our love for sustainable agriculture and botany fills our home with greenery. With our mix of practical skills and enthusiasm, we’d love to help out wherever needed.

In a nutshell, we’re passionate about the outdoors and spend as much time as we can camping, hiking, wild swimming, and enjoying evenings around a fire throughout the summer. The natural beauty of Canada is a huge part of what draws us there, and we’re beyond excited to explore it all. Visiting the beautiful mountains and lakes top of our list, and we can’t wait to experience the ski season at the end of 2025!
