  • Description

Agata (33F) is French-Bolivian, from a Bolivian father and a French mother. She was born in Bolivia and has lived in many countries throughout her life, most of them in South America. In 2019 she decided to move to Germany and is by now fluent in German (as well as Spanish, English, Portuguese and French). She completed her studies in gastronomy in Argentina and would like to focus more on cooking and baking in the future, and also on music (singing and guitar). For most of her professional career, she has worked in the tourism and hospitality industry, where she has been able to perform many different jobs.

Martijn (31M) is half Dutch and German, with a Dutch father and a German mother, and is just learning Spanish. He speaks German, English and a little bit of Dutch. In his early 20s he has lived and worked as a robot programmer for the automotive industry in several European (mostly Scandinavian) countries. The urge to get out in nature led him to devote the second half of his 20s to studying open space planning, and he has successfully graduated as an engineer in the early 2020s. During his studies, he has developed a keen interest in alternative ways of living, focusing primarily on the possibilities of permaculture and Tiny Houses (of which he has also helped build a few). He also obtained a beekeeping license during his studies.

In 2020, we decided we wanted to move away from the noisy city life, and start our own permaculture/ B&B project. That's why we are currently traveling and looking for a nice, green piece of land to settle down! In the meantime, we think volunteering is a great way to meet new people, get to know more about the area, and learn new skills while also sharing our own knowledge.

Our goal is to find our place in this world to settle and create our home, an edible and natural paradise, living in harmony with our environment, both with the flora and fauna, as well as with the community. Special emphasis will be put on permaculture, self-sufficiency and hospitality (we also want to accommodate some nature-loving guests). Last but not least, we have discovered how wonderful and enriching it is to share moments with people who are already on the road to self-sustainability, or who simply dream of a better, cleaner, healthier and more abundant world, where the human being is part of everything and everyone.
