Hi, I am Lorissa!

Right now, I am living and working in Valencia, Spain as an English teacher.

I am using Workaway because I have skills to share and I am eager to meet new people from different backgrounds.

So, let me help you with your projects! I am a great listener and hard worker. Other people would say I am easygoing and can get along with anybody. I don't mind getting my hands dirty. I enjoy projects that are physical and hands-on. I am curious about new things and I am interested in trying anything twice. Also, I do well in a crisis! Working with children has taught me how to problem-solve and be adaptable in stressful situations. I am very independent, and I will be using my free time to study the native culture and language.

Some hobbies I enjoy are biking & hiking, spending time outdoors, learning new recipes, exchanging music with people, and deepening my spirituality.

For the last 5 years, I have worked as a teacher. Managing the classroom and students' behavior is something I am familiar with. In my role, I plan and execute lessons.

Growing up in a rural town, I spent time working on farms. Specifically, I have some experience handling farm animals like cows, sheep, and chickens. I also have experience with horses, and I feel comfortable with saddling and grooming. I feel comfortable handling and working with cats and dogs.

I know how to use basic tools and power tools. I am also comfortable with painting projects.

Finally, I have experience working in a restaurant kitchen, in the hospitality industry, and in customer service.
