Hi! I'm Lorenzo, I was born in Italy but moved to England at only 9 months of age, which I'm grateful for as it meant I learnt Italian and English at the same time and resulted in becoming bilingual. I'm a trained videographer and video editor but haven't been enjoying it for a while as I just end up being sat on my own in front of a computer for a big part of my day.
I am new here and would absolutely love to be part of a workaway project. I really enjoy spending time outdoors and would love the opportunity to help more people and communities in general. I am currently looking at projects in Portugal, having been there only twice in the past but have very fond memories of the time I spent there.
I have previously volunteered in Kenya, helping children with disabilities in their day to day lives which was an absolutely incredible and profound experience. Lastly, I think we’re all on our own journey in life and I have arrived in a place where I would love to have new experiences, learn new skills, work hard and do everything I can to help make a difference to people’s lives.Interests

So even though I would ideally like to move away from videography, I am a professional at handling expensive camera equipment as well as editing videos together. I'm also very savvy with computer technology in general.
Prior to filming, I worked as a support worker for over 3 years supporting people with physical disabilities and learning disabilities - I would support them with personal care as well as generally in their day to day lives so supporting them in the community as well as with their dinner and daily activities.
As a child me and my family would make litres and litres of apple juice from the apples that fell from the trees in our garden. And I loved it!
As mentioned in my profile description, I previously volunteered in Kenya for 6 weeks helping children with disabilities in their day to day lives, helping to feed them and keep them company. I also painted a mural on their community hall front wall which was an extremely fun project to get stuck into.
I also have a Grade 8 distinction in guitar, I'm not sure if that will be useful here but I can provide nice relaxing music if it is ever needed haha :)
I can speak both English and Italian fluently and could teach either if needed. I have a good work ethic with a mind set of 'that'll do won't do' - and am a perfectionist so will strive to ensure any work is done well and with plenty of effort.Age

What else ...
I love rock climbing, badminton, table tennis, calisthenics, and sometimes running. I have also dabbled in the world of music production and released 8 songs last year on Spotify - we recently hit over 1 million total Spotify streams which I am very grateful for.
