From: United States
Rust belt native currently based in Detroit. I have a background in event management and technical theater (lights, sound, building, painting etc). About a year and a half ago I started traveling and have been mostly on the road since.
I'm a mostly self-taught electrician, plumber, truck mechanic, carpenter and general handy(wo)man. I can run gas pipe, I've installed my own furnace, built my own kitchen counters, etc. This year I bought a beautiful but very abandoned hundred-year-old house in Detroit for $1000, which has been a crazy project - but very educational!
What else? I play guitar, sing, breathe fire and spin fire hoop, garden, repair bicycles, hitchhike, cook. If I have an opportunity to learn a useful and strange skill I try to learn it.
As of May 2018 I've done 7 workaways in 6 countries (France, Denmark, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia). All great experiences so far!
