We are currently at the Blue Mountains and hope to park up to explore this amazing area before heading towards the coast near Nowra.

Description

We are Leanne & Dave, an Australian nomad couple travelling Australia in our 4x4 bus. We often do full time work on farms, staying for 3 to 6 months. But then for a break from work we’ll look for lighter duties on properties offering work-for-site arrangement. Because we live in our bus, we will not be needing accommodation as such but access to bathroom and laundry facilities is preferable. We also generally make our own meals and enjoy cooking on an open fire so access to a fire pit or barbecue is also bonus.

We also have a smaller van that we’ll sometimes use for weekend trips away if we have a safe place to leave the bus and e-bikes for checking out the local areas.

Dave is a diesel fitter with a MC license and 30 years of experience. He has proved to be a great asset on all the farms where we have stayed (yard building, welding, machinery operation, maintenance and repair, engineering/fabrication etc).

With a background in plant nurseries and art, Leanne helped with garden maintenance, small building and painting projects and made sculptures for the owners. At one farm we also revamped their sheds, built a camp kitchen and amenities and helped with hay making and sales.

Leanne enjoys art, particularly sculpture and has made a few large sculptures at farms we have stayed at. She works with fibreglass, papermache or concrete. She also likes to sew and has a sewing machine onboard.

We have a reasonable supply of tools including a welder and various powers tools etc useful to Dave's trade.

What else ...

Our bus is about 7.5m long and we tow a 1958 Land Rover which carries a lot of our own tools including a whipper snipper, welder, drills, grinder and other power tools and a range of other tools useful to Dave's trade.

We love camping and campfires and enjoy cooking offer an open fire in a camp oven or spit.

Dave has a small motorbike that is very useful for getting around on the farm and we have e-bikes and like to explore bush tracks and country towns.
