Description
Hello people,
my name is Lea, I'm 24 and just about to finish my sociology degree in Bremen, Germany.
After that my dream is to live and work in Australia for a while! The enormous nature and wanting to learn more about living off the road, in tune with nature is pulling me there!
My first and greatest experience with Workaway was a 8 month stay in New Zealand where for some months I could take care of children, work on a peony farm and in some hostels. With corona, the studying life changed some and gave me the great opportunity to have some more experiences with Workaway and house sitting places.
The people I met on this way and things I could learn I will be forever grateful for!
From my time as an Au Pair I have lots of experiences with children, cooking, general house holding and through workaway also with repairing, gardening and lots of animals!
As I worked as an industries climber for a while I'm also adapt with harder cleaning and repairing work. Most preferably I like to work outside and with animals. I'm very keen on properly learning to horse ride! I would say I'm quite adaptive and hard working. I love the details and doing things properly, always trying to find creative ways to solve a problem.
I respect the way people keep their things and ask me to keep them as their guest. I'm always happy to share food, stories, beliefs and a good time together.
I'm a very active person, with the love for all kinds of sports especially Yoga, Pilates, Kickboxing and Skating! I love good company but I'm definitely happy at spending time on my own as well. In the rest of my free time I love to read, visit new places by feet, do art or visit art museums. Currently I work as a certified Yoga teacher and am happy to share this passion with people on my way. Hope to meet you some day!

More details about your skills
I have some basic gardening skills, because of growing up in gardens and some heavier outside work experiences through a Peony and an Alpaca Farm I stayed with.
On the alpaca farm I was also able to train the kryias (baby alpacas) for walks.
I'm handy to repair, fix or renew things, whenever it comes up. I like to make little DIY things like clothes or furniture for myself or other people from old stuff lying around as I love to be creative and sustainable at the same time.
In one house sitting place I had the great opportunity taking care of a dog and a cat, which I would feel confident to do again, as I also grew up with cats and rabbits. I'm keen to work hard and under different weather conditions or circumstances. As I worked in two families, some hostels and currently living in a shared flat, I know how to take care not only of my stuff, but of a household itself. I things quite clean and tidied up, but respect however people like to do it. Sharing meals, tasks and ideas is common sense to me when staying with people in the same place.
