I'm Lea, 19 years old and I come from Germany. Now, that I finished my Abitur I want to take a gap year in Canada. Canada always attracted me because of the wild nature and the cold winters. So I thought now would be the perfect moment to travel there.
Here in Germany I played the flute and I do Judo. Not far ago I also started boxing and self-defense. I love sports where I can burn off energy without realising it because I have so much fun. And I'm always open for trying new activities. :)
While my gap year I hope to meet great people who can help me to open my horizon and get new ideas. In addition I want to get the feeling of living in the Canadian wild.

I recently passed the Abitur. My advanced courses were maths, German, English, physics and politic. Especially I liked the both last mentioned.
While school I had two different side jobs. One was working as a factory worker. I had to bottle groceries, sort tins and stack palettes.
My second job was working as a waitress in a location where concerts and dinner were combined. There I helped conducting champagne receptions, served drinks and food, prepared buffets and learned working pressed for time because we mostly had only half an hour for waiting on tables while there was a break during the concert.
I also like working with animals. When I was younger I had two rabbits which I took care of. I cleaned their enclosure, fed them and cuddled up to them.
In addition we have a little dog which I often take for a walk and play with.
In general I'm open to learn new skills and I always try to do my best.
I speak German and English. I also learned the Russian language for four years in school but I don't speak it very well.
I like playing cards, for example rummy.
Besides I'm interested in environment and animal protection. In addition I like speaking about politics and have a big interest in astrophysics.
