Hi! I'm Laurie and I'm from Toulouse, France.
I'm 22 and I'm currently studying English Literature and History.
I would like to travel because I want to:
- work on my English speaking skills
- meet new people, new cultures, new landscapes
- learn (anything, really)
- work with animals in a natural environment
- test my limits so as to learn about who I am
- take a break from university :)

As I enjoy discovering new places and helping people, the idea of becoming a workawayer came naturally. I would say that I'm a hard-working person who likes to get things done properly. The fact that I grew up on a former farm on the contryside probably helped me develop these qualities...
I've been surrounded with animals my whole life (dogs, cats, chickens, cows, horses,...), and I really enjoy spending time with them.

Moreover, I like going on adventures. I've been an Erasmus student for 3 months (in Birmingham, UK). I also went to a few countries in Europe, and I stayed in Canada for two months (as a workawayer). As you could tell, I seize the opportunity of travelling every time I get the chance to, and I'm not scared of meeting with difficulties as I believe they are part of the experience.

I'm looking forward to broadening my horizons again!

Even if I'm still learning, I really enjoy cooking (mostly french dishes, but I would love to learn how to cook dishes from other countries).
I have good cleaning and gardening skills.
In addition to my studies, I'm an assistant in a french high school, so I've aquired some teaching skills as well. I sometimes have the responsibility of a whole class.
Most of all, I'm good at taking care of animals. During my stay in Canada I've trained dogs and fed alpacas and I absolutely loved it! As I live in the countryside, I'm used to coming accross wild or farm animals.
