Hello! My name is Lauren, I am a 24yr old woman from Boise, Idaho. I am a first time Workawayer/world traveler, and am so excited to start my traveling journey!

Some things about me:
I studied Psychology, Media, and Film in college. I currently work at a commercial production company in Boise, but am looking to make a career switch into something else. I don’t know exactly what that is yet, but I am hoping my travels will help me figure it out!

I’m an avid concert goer, gym junkie, and cook. I am passionate about health, whole foods/healthy cooking, and environmental consciousness. I spend my free time immersing myself in music, quality time with friends, and almost any form of community art. I am curious, patient, friendly, and love being in the hustle and bustle of downtown urban spaces.

I have never been outside of the country, and am very driven to explore other countries and cultures outside of my own. This is my main motivator for traveling - to break myself completely out of my comfort zone. I am so excited to connect with hosts and other Workawayers and start my journey!

What else ...

I’m a filmmaker in my free time and have worked on a lot of fun short film/music video projects with my friends. I’m drawn to social/community art projects like this, whether they be film related or not. My perfect weekend activity is sitting in a sunny coffee shop with a warm cup of coffee and a good book. I’m trying to learn how to play the bass, and love film photography, thrifting, and antiques.
