Heyy, I'm Lalie from Belgium, .

Traveled 6 months in Crete and have hitchhicked around.10 months in Spain where i mostly volunteered or hiked. 6months in Colombia where i volunteered aswell

I’m searching social and/or ecological; projects, communities although I am verry open to anything

Because I really want to try to stay close to my values and ideologies, by experiencing living in communitie, helping others and minimise my ecological impact. Going from place to place helps me also to have a lot of other perpectives which is important to build up the further construction of my mind .

Also to live with the rhythm of nature and the natural ressources that are given by the seasons to be in osmose /symbiose with it !
It's something I have on my mind since a long time ago.

Meeting people, learning, helping, sharing these are my motivations.

I’m in love with animals, that because I grew up with them (dog,horse, cat, pig, cow, chicken...)
I'm horse riding since my 6th so I have a good level

I'm a creative person (making clothes with every tissu I can find in the streets) with a lot of energy to share and give ! Physically (strong enough) and mentally aware.

I'm searching long term stays so I can really help build a project with the persons i'm working with and also find my own spirituality around it ! I still want to be independent though.

I studied Human Sciences and later changed direction to study Textile Design in Brussels. After that, I volunteered a lot in different associations in Brussels, including Emmaüs, FEDASIL, and various inclusive events and LGBTQIA+ organisations.

I also volunteered in Spain, Crete, and Colombia. Most of these projects were focused on eco-projects, artistic communities, bioconstruction, and animal sanctuaries, painting ... I especially enjoy rural and rustic environments

I also have experience in harvesting

Overall, I am very adaptable and open to different kinds of work. I’ve explored many different fields, including doing woodwork on my own car, and I’m currently volunteering with someone who restores furniture.

After all these experiences of volunteering, I found the opportunity to work for the Red Cross in Brussels, in a shelter for homeless/ immagrants and or refugees families . I worked there for 2.5 years, where families could stay for up to six months while being supported in finding a reception center or, depending on their situation, stable housing. I was involved in administrative processes as well as psycho-social support.

I also had the opportunity to work with the children in the center, which I really loved,organising activities, helping with school projects, and more. It was a very enriching experience.

Now, I feel I need a break… and then I’ll be ready to do it all again.
