Hello hosts!

We're an Australian duo looking for a new experience; learning new things, embracing a different culture and practicing some español along the way:)
This is our first time commencing a workaway, however we've both done volunteering work back home, and we love the community spirit that it brings. We're both easy going, friendly people; we love getting our hands dirty, looking after animals, diy/sustainable projects, meeting new people, teaching, getting creative and are eager to try new things too.

Harry has recently graduated from Architectural Engineering and Lachy has graduated with an international relations/environment degree. We are both excited to put our skills to use or learn something completely new.

We both have experience in gardening and landscaping. Harry has been gardening/landscaping part time for years and loves working outside and spicing up gardens. Lachy has done some work in the landscaping industry but has recently been working within the sport industry with a focus on child participation in sport.

We both have very active lifestyles in Melbourne and have played in community sport since we were young.

We are massive animal lovers. Harry has been a dog walker for the past year and has loved (almost) every minute of it. Lachy has always had dogs in his life and has 2 dogs back at home that he calls regularly :)

We've love to take care of your animals, just hope it's not too sad saying goodbye when it's time to go!

We've both tutored kids before in various subjects, so we'd be excited and ready to teach english as well. We're both quick learners so adapting to new jobs/tasks won't be a worry.

Lachy stayed over for almost a month. Very easy going and friendly with a good sense of humour. He fell in love with the cats and gave nice walks to the doggies. Lachy y harry llegaron con una gran sonrisa y desde ese momento no recuerdo otra expresión en sus caras. La verdad es que fue muy sencillo para todos conectar con ellos. Los dos hicieron muchos paseos por la naturaleza con perros de la casa y conectaron muy bien con todos los animales. Trabajar y conectar juntos fue un autentico placer así como… read more también ver como cogían con ilusión todas las tareas y las realizaban con alegría y determinación. En su primer trabajo limpiaron un deposito de agua, rascando las paredes durante días seguidos. Posteriormente se ofrecieron voluntariamente a realizar unas escaleras para el acceso a la casa de los voluntarios, las cuales terminaron quedando de maravilla y siempre me recuerdan a ellos cuando las veo. Tambien trabajaron limpiando el terreno de piedras, lijando y pintando la casa de los perros, cargando materiales y despejando áreas de terreno, limpieando la casa y alimentando a los perros y ayudando en todo lo que surgía por el camino. Su estancia fue muy corta, pero todos les cogimos mucho cariño. Es sorprendente como se puede querer a alguien en solo 2 semanas, pero cuando gente bonita se junta para un objetivo bonito, todo es posible. Deseamos volver a verlos pronto por aquí con esas bromas y charlas que levantan la vibra haya por donde se oyen. Sois grandes chicos! Os queremos!

Lachy and Harry arrived with a big smile and from that moment on I don't remember another expression on their faces. The truth is that it was very easy for everyone to connect with them. The two went on many nature walks with the house dogs and connected very well with all the animals. Working and connecting together was a real pleasure as well as seeing how they took on all the tasks with enthusiasm and carried them out with joy and determination. In their first job they cleaned a water tank, scratching the walls for days at a time. Later they voluntarily offered to make some stairs for access to the volunteers' house, which ended up looking wonderful and always remind me of them when I see them. They also worked cleaning the land of stones, sanding and painting the dog house, loading materials and clearing areas of land, cleaning the house and feeding the dogs and helping with everything that came up along the way. Their stay was very short, but we all became very fond of them. It's surprising how you can love someone in just 2 weeks, but when beautiful people come together for a beautiful goal, anything is possible. We hope to see you here again soon with those jokes and talks that raise the vibe wherever you hear them. You are great guys! We love you!
