Description
Hey there I'm Kristin. :)
I finished my studies in social work at the beginning of this year, and taking now a year off (probably, maybe longere :) ) to travel the world, to dive into new cultures, to make many new friends and to gain a lot of experience. I'm all about seeing life from different angles. That's why I'm super excited about Workaway—it's a chance to connect with people from all corners of the globe, understand how they live and think, and maybe pick up some new skills.
I grew up in a small village on a farm, which taught me to work hard, but also how much I love being in nature. I love everything that has to do with animals, hiking, nature and adventure.
Studying social work has also allowed me to pursue my passion of learning more about how I can be there for people and maybe make the world a better place in a very very small way. I love learning about the stories behind people and would describe me as a good listener.
All in all, I am a adventurous, easygoing soul who believes less is more when it comes to happiness. :)Interests

More details about your skills
Growing up on a farm, I'm accustomed to getting my hands dirty and taking on a variety of tasks like mucking out stables, gardening, painting walls... Despite it's not being a top choice for me (and I'm not claiming to be great at it), I also handle tractors and agricultural machinery.
Working with animals especially cats, horses, and dogs, is something I'm good at and absolutely love. I have a good understanding of the basics of English riding, having enjoyed it for many years. Spending time with horses, whether it's grooming or riding, brings me immense joy.
I'm a quick learner, always eager to pick up new skills. A solid and clear introduction matter to me, but once I've got them, I'm highly reliable and conscientious, often mastering tasks quickly.
Because of my Social Work degree and practical experience in social settings, I am good in working with children and teenagers.
My interest has always spanned across a variety of things, so I've spent my holidays and free time to discovering new things. As a result, I've taken various internships, such as an educator, hotel staff, office clerk, nurse, social counselor in a refugee residence and a equine therapist at a children's development center. I've also taken on various part-time jobs like school childcare, customer service and bakery sales - I guess, I've got some experience in a lot of things.
But I think I'm this kind of person that basically does everything a bit and quite good, but I've not got this one big skill that defines me. :DAge

The house and the countryside are so beautiful. Becky took great care to ensure that I was always comfortable and had everything I needed. Becky is a really lovely and funny person who I always had fun with. Just like the rest of the family.
