Description

Hi, I'm Kirsty.
I am a contemplative, deep thinker who loves learning from life and testing my limits.
I was born and raised in Zimbabwe and South Africa and later moved to England. I am deeply curious about the world and different cultures, religions and lifestyles.

I have spent 10 beautiful months exploring India. Sri Lanka and now Australia, and will soon begin my adventures in Vietnam. I am so excited to keep learning and deepening my appreciation for the world and it's incredible diversity.

I have volunteered for homeless charities (including renovation work eg. painting) youth centres and beach clean ups in England.
I have had experience with gardening/ maintenance, cleaning and organising in my previous workaway. I am keen to learn and take part in sustainable farming practices, eco conscious living, clean up drives and also channel my empathy into rescue centres for animals.
I feel this will be a meaningful and impactful way to use the privilege of travelling to give back.

I have experience in:
🌏Hospitality - Assistant Manager of a café for 2 years. Experienced Barista for 3 years.
🌏Hairdresser - I have a qualification in basic hairdressing. I cut friends and family's hair regularly.
🌏Degree in Hair and Makeup for Perfomance. Love to experiment with art.
🌏Gardening - Some experience in gardening, thanks to my grandma and her green thumbs! I look after her house plants and her conservatory when she's away.
🌏 Animal care - I have had cats my whole life.
🌏 Cleaning- I enjoy cleaning and organising.
🌏 Technology aware - I help my grandma with technology understanding and explanation.
🌏 Painter/Decorator- experience painting for charity renovation projects and upkeep. (And my bedroom walls).
