Currently I'm in the United Kingdom, willing to travel within Europe between September to December. Planning to continue driving across Africa in January.

Description

My motivation comes from a genuine hunger for exploration and new challenges. For the past two years, I've been traveling extensively through Europe and Africa in a campervan, which has only deepened my desire to experience the world in new ways.

I'm looking to transition into a career on yachts, inspired by my boyfriend who works in the industry. Volunteering is the perfect first step for me to gain hands-on experience and learn about life at sea before I take my STCW courses.

What brings me happiness is the chance to learn new skills, work as part of a team, and see the world from a different perspective. My best memories are a result of the people I've met while traveling, and I look forward to making more on the water.

My background has given me a versatile set of skills that I'm excited to apply in a new environment. I studied Psychology at university, which has given me excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of empathy. While living in Peru, I worked with children with special needs, which taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and clear communication all essential for working closely with a small crew.

For the past three years, I've worked in remote positions, which allowed me to travel extensively and work in the tourism industry. These roles greatly improved my communication skills, my ability to adapt to new and challenging environments, and my talent for being resourceful. I'm very comfortable working as part of an international team and am a quick learner.

Additionally, I have volunteer experience as an English teaching assistant in Morocco, where I honed my ability to work proactively and independently. I'm a hands-on person who is ready to help wherever needed, whether that involves cleaning, helping with guests, or assisting with other tasks on board.

Growing up in a family that ran restaurants, I gained many culinary skills from a young age, which has been a wonderful way to connect with people from different cultures by sharing my own food and learning how to prepare theirs.

I'm also a qualified paragliding pilot, which speaks to my love for adventure and experiencing the world from new perspectives. This hobby has taught me to be calm under pressure and always pay attention to details.

For more relaxing times, I enjoy creative projects like photography, painting, and crochet. These hobbies help me relax and unwind, and I enjoy sharing my creative side with others. I am happy to teach a new skill or learn one myself.
