Description
Hi there !
I’m Daniel, from Switzerland. I grew up between mountains and lakes in a place where people speak four languages and take trains that are (usually) on time. But what I’ve always loved most is going out to discover the world beyond. That curiosity led me to Latin America where I started my journey with a university exchange in Santiago de Chile. I studied human geography not just in classrooms but also in the streets through conversations, markets and music. During this time, I had the chance to travel across parts of the continent which opened my eyes and my heart. But now, I feel the need for something deeper. I don’t just want to observe, I want to contribute. What I love most is being useful, sharing time and energy and getting involved in daily life. Whether it’s helping with a project, cooking, painting, teaching, planting or just bringing good vibes, I’m always up for it !
I’m a very social person. I love being around people, making new friends, and creating moments that matter. Give me a group of strangers, a pot of rice, a guitar, and some candles and I’ll turn it into a family dinner. I enjoy organizing little events, jam sessions, game nights or just staying up late laughing about nothing. Creating a warm atmosphere and making people feel at home is something that feels natural to me. Music is a big part of who I am. I play piano and guitar, and I’ll dance to almost anything from salsa and cumbia to reggaeton or even the sound of a washing machine if the rhythm is good. But when I hear those fiery salsa rhythms, I just can’t stay still. It’s like my legs have their own brain. Dancing makes me feel alive, and every time I dance, I just want to learn more! I also teach piano and have worked as a college teacher with teenagers which was an adventure full of noise, energy and unexpected life lessons. That job taught me that communication is a superpower and that learning goes both ways.
When I’m not teaching, dancing, or talking too much, you’ll probably find me outside. I love surfing (even when I mostly fall), hiking, and going for long walks while singing softly to myself, the sun warming my skin and my thoughts drifting far away. I believe in the magic of slow days, shared meals, and moments that turn into memories without even trying.
Lately, I’ve been diving deeper into self-knowledge and spirituality. This journey is not just about seeing places, it’s also about exploring what’s within understanding myself better, questioning things, and growing through the people I meet and the stories I share.Oh, and I speak French, English, Spanish, and Farsi (Iranian), and I can survive in German if you speak slowly and don’t bring up grammar. I love languages not just as tools, but as bridges they allow us to truly connect, to laugh together, to understand each other a little more deeply.
So no, I’m not just looking for a bed. I’m looking for a place full of life, kindness, music, work, laughter, some dance, and people who have something to share. If you’ve got a project, a home, or even just a bit of curiosity I’d be happy to join you for a while and give the best of myself in return !

Languages have always fascinated me. Not just for speaking, but for everything they open up: stories, humor, culture, and connection. I speak French, English, Spanish and Farsi, and I can manage in German too. I love sharing my own language and learning new ones, especially through real conversations and daily life. I’m always up for a language exchange, some vocabulary practice or just laughing about funny mistakes because that’s often where the best learning happens !

More details about your skills
I have a studied human geography but most of what I’ve learned comes from life. I’ve worked as a teacher with teenagers and I also teach piano so I’m very comfortable communicating, explaining things clearly and creating a good atmosphere around me. Sharing knowledge is something I truly enjoy and I love learning from others just as much.
I’m good at organizing activities, hosting dinners, helping with language exchange (I speak French, English, Spanish, Farsi and a bit of German) and bringing people together. I play music (piano and guitar) so if you need someone to liven up an evening, it will be a pleasure ! I enjoy physical work too : gardening, helping with cleaning, painting, small repairs or whatever needs to be done. I’m not a professional handyman but I learn fast and I like working with my hands. I also travel with my drone and love taking the time to capture the beauty of the places I visit. Filming landscapes and is one of the ways I connect deeply with my surroundings and share them with others !
I’m also someone you can count on for energy, a smile, and a positive attitude. I’m here to help, to be useful, and to contribute whether it’s with practical skills or simply by being present and enthusiastic !

What else ...
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a pilot and honestly that dream never really left. I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of flying and I still turn my head every time a plane passes overhead. I also have a real passion for water sports. I love surfing (still learning, still falling) and I’d really like to improve my skills while travelling. One of my goals is also to finally learn how to kitesurf, it just looks way too fun not to try !
Other than that, I’m always happy to try something new or join in any activity where there’s good energy and good people around !
