Hello World,
I'm Khady and I originally come from a small town close to Hamburg in Germany. I used to be a digital nomad but now I think I'm just a nomad. I'm not particularly drawn to any place in the world but I enjoy connecting with all kinds of people while traveling and learning new languages. I love hearing other people's (traveling) stories and learn stuff I'd never thought I would encounter. Everyone has their story and I'd like to hear yours.
Also, I love dancing! All the Latin Dances, Salsa, Merengue, Zouk, and my all time favourit La Bachata! (Dominicana, por favor, no Bachata sensual para mí!)
I love learning new languages although I don’t have the steadiest studying rhythm and therefore am not the fastest learner. But hey, it's about the journey not the destination, right?

Since I started travelling, I tried out various kinds of work to find a job I'd like. I worked as a barkeeper, receptionist, dog-sitter/walker, language teacher, in housekeeping, as an Au-Pair and as Animator in Summer Camps/Hostels (you know those people that organise all the games, parties, and events in an Resort? Yeah, that's me!). Basically I'm a people person. Give me a Hostel to work at and socialize with or animate the guest, I'm your girl!
Besides all those experiences, which I absolutely loved, I have two passions in my life: LANGUAGES & LA BACHATA!
So I recently started sharing my love for Bachata with other travellers by teaching them some foundations. So they could enjoy a night out in the Dominican Republic and dance the night away! I'm not a perfect dancer (who is?) but I would like to continue sharing dances with the world.
Last but certainly not least(!) I'm a certified Language Teacher. I fell in love with teaching as a teaching volunteer and made it my profession. Meaning I have a CELTA certificate and years of experience of teaching English and German at this point.
Not only teaching but also learning new languages is a big part of my life. Which brings me to my hope of finding a place for a language exchange or even better, a school to volunteer at! Another thing I have done multiple times. :)
