  • Description

I’m a curious, open-hearted person who feels happiest when I’m close to nature, animals, creative work, and good people. I enjoy being active, learning by doing, and having a real task to contribute to, not just passing through a place, but being part of it for a while.

As an architect I am a big lover of art, design, and all kinds of creative processes. I enjoy building, repairing, crafting, sketching, experimenting, and generally making things with my hands . Growing up, I spent a lot of time in the countryside with my family: riding horses, helping out wherever needed, and hanging around in a workshop full of tools , which I loved and still miss.

While I don’t have that workshop anymore (city life…), I’m always tinkering with something. My family does have a small garden in the city, which I adore, unfortunately not right in front of my own door. So instead, my apartment has turned into a bit of a green jungle. I definitely have a green thumb, and yes, I may or may not spend a suspicious amount of time watching plants grow. I find it far more satisfying than scrolling on social media.

Dancing is another big source of joy for me: especially Salsa and Bachata. I love how much connection, playfulness, and shared energy dancing creates. Music, movement, and community are important parts of my life, just like quiet moments outdoors, shared meals, and good conversations.

I’m deeply interested in sustainability, future ways of living, and how we design our environments , socially as well as ecologically. These topics are part of my studies and professional background, but also something I genuinely enjoy talking about in everyday life.
This summer I’ll be working on my Master’s thesis, and I’m considering writing parts of it from a Workaway destination, if the situation allows, combining focused work with practical, hands-on experience feels like a great balance to me.

After several years of working and now returning to university, I’ve been missing the grounded months I spent in nature: on work camps, international projects, with the scouts, and during an internship at a horseriding stable in Greece.

Before fully diving into the next academic chapter, this feels like the perfect moment to reconnect with nature and meaningful work.

I’m new to Workaway, but not new to this kind of exchange. I’ve been active on Couchsurfing for years, both as a host and as a surfer in different countries, so I’m familiar with shared living, communication, responsibility, and mutual respect from both sides.

We have a family dog whom I adore — all animals and fluffy beings are very welcome in my world — but for my Workaway adventures he’ll stay with my family. He’s getting older and prefers the comfort of home.

I’m reliable, hands-on, and happy to help wherever needed. Whether outdoors, in the garden, with animals, creative projects, small repairs, or everyday tasks. I value openness, learning from each other, and creating a warm, positive atmosphere together. I’m excited to contribute my energy, skills, and curiosity, and to become part of a host’s daily life for a while.

    Animals & Horses
I have solid experience with horses and stable work. I’ve been riding since childhood (most recently Western riding). After finishing school, I worked on a horse farm on a Greek island, where I guided tourists on horseback for a few hours at a time, showing them the island. Alongside that, I took care of daily stable tasks such as feeding, grooming, and general maintenance.
While this experience goes back a few years, working with horses is very familiar to me.

    Gardening & Green Work
I enjoy working with plants, gardens, and green spaces. I have a good basic knowledge of gardening and plant care and love learning more through hands-on experience. Green work is something I genuinely enjoy and find very grounding.

    Cooking & Kitchen Experience
I’ve helped out in my family’s restaurant since I was 14 and am comfortable working in a kitchen. I enjoy cooking for myself and others, usually vegetarian for myself, but I’m fine preparing meat and fish as well. I like cooking simple, fresh meals and sharing food together.

    Crafts, DIY & Hands-on Work
I enjoy all kinds of creative and manual work. I’m not a master craftsperson, but I’m confident with tasks like painting rooms, basic woodwork, repairs, and general DIY projects. At the moment, I’m learning (mostly via YouTube ...) how to renovate a small garden shed , so I’m motivated, practical, and not afraid to try new things.

    Creative & Digital Skills
I’m trained as an architect and enjoy drawing, designing, and creative problem-solving. I can work with CAD software and Adobe Illustrator and am happy to help with drawings, plans, visualizations, or creative ideas if needed.

    Children
Some of my friends have children, and I’ve spent more time around kids in recent years and I really enjoy it. I’m patient, playful, and comfortable supporting family life, though I don’t claim to be a professional childcare expert.

  • What else ...

I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. I love board games, especially cooperative and creative ones. I’m also more of a “something fruity after a meal” person than a dessert person — fresh fruit always makes me happy.
