Hello everyone😊

my name is Katharina and I am a 24 years old girl from Germany.

During the last years, I studied International Business in Berlin and I had the chance to spend one semester in Canada and one semester in Colombia. I truly loved the South American culture and that‘s why I decided to also travel to Ecuador, where I volunteered at a kite surf camp, and to Peru, where I visited some friends and explored its cultural richness.
Already back in 2019, after I finished school, I traveled for seven months in Australia and I loved my Workaway experience. During this period I had the chance to work as an Au Pair in Sydney, help in a caravan park in Canberra, support a chook farm on Kangaroo Island, as well as to live on a camel farm in Alice Springs.

In general, I am a very active, positive, funny and sporty person who loves to learn new things and get in touch with local people. While I can speak German, English, French and Spanish more or less fluently, I am eager to improve my little knowledge of Portuguese. This is also one reason why I would love to volunteer in Brazil, and get to know its culture, people, nature and language.

Apart from that, I collected three years of experience as a soccer coach for younger children, and I worked for two months in a surf camp in France. Playing soccer, volleyball, ping-pong, going surfing or skating, dancing and playing music in general are a big part of my life.

I am looking forward to get again involved in a community and support, learn and exchange knowledge while spending an amazing time together.

Firstly, I want to mention that I am a person who is really open minded, organised and cooperative.
Furthermore, I am very sporty and musical and I can adapt myself fastly.
As a soccer trainer for younger boys, I already collected many experiences in interacting with children.
Additionally, I was the student representative at our school and also the senior contact person for younger people and that’s why I already learned to be responsible for a big group of people representing their interests.
Apart from this, I have also mechanical skills and like to do some craft. While traveling in Australia I did a lot of gardening and general household tasks. If there is something I am not familiar with I am open minded to learn it ;)
