Description

Hello, my name is Katerina Lesane. I love getting out of my comfort zone, and I figured the best way to do that is by volunteering overseas. Since I also love to travel, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. I know I just have to keep pushing myself to take the first step and encourage myself to achieve my goals—otherwise, my fears could keep me trapped at home, preventing me from truly enjoying life.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, writing books, reading, and hanging out with friends. My favorite genre of music is R&B, especially from the 90s and early 2000s. I’m also a passionate traveler at heart. I love exploring the world and discovering new experiences, and I even run my own travel blog where I share stories and tips from my adventures. On top of that, I’m currently working on my own business as a travel agent.

I’m also a big nature lover. I dislike being stuck indoors when there’s so much of the world waiting to be discovered. I enjoy seeking out new adventures in the outdoors and have even gone skydiving, cliff diving, and cage diving with sharks. I’m always looking forward to my next thrilling experience.

Altogether, I’m someone who thrives on creativity, travel, adventure, and embracing everything life has to offer.

I am an adaptable and service-minded professional with experience helping people, organizing events, and leading programs in schools, nonprofits, and the community. I have strong skills in communication, active listening, and public speaking, and I know how to manage busy front offices, support large events, and provide help to people in need. I am recognized for staying calm and professional in fast-paced settings while creating welcoming and supportive environments.

I built skills in event planning, outreach, and crisis support. I have coordinated campus events and supported survivors of domestic violence with empathy and confidentiality. I also have experience in facility management, conflict resolution, and clerical work.

Outside of work, I founded Loving Grace, a project that provides care bags for people experiencing homelessness. I have a very tender heart and care deeply about animals, children, and nature. I’m always open to learning new skills, and if something is a challenge, I do my best to take it on and grow through the experience.
