More details about my language interests
I would describe myself as a fluent English speaker, but I’m always motivated to improve my skills even further. I also speak a little French and would love to continue learning. As German is my mother tongue, I’d be happy to teach anyone who’s interested. In general, I really enjoy learning new languages, as it helps me connect with people from all over the world.

  • More details about your skills

I studied Social Pedagogy and finished my bachelor’s degree in 2024. During my studies, I worked in a supported living facility for adults with multiple disabilities as a support worker, and I also worked with children with mental disabilities in a school setting.
Since 2024, I’ve been on and off working and traveling. I spent three months on Maui, Hawaii, volunteering in a shared home with people with autism and Down syndrome. I also volunteered in hostels and on a farm in Mexico, and taught English in Guatemala.
I would describe myself as empathetic and a good listener. I’m also a creative and musical person — I play the clarinet and love to sing. During my school years, I took part in different creative programs like theatre, woodworking, and drawing.
I’m an open and social person and really enjoy connecting with new people.

  • What else ...

At the moment, I’m learning how to juggle and trying to figure out the best strategies in Scrabble (still a work in progress). I love being active and spend a lot of time hiking and moving my body doing yoga or working out. Traveling is a big part of my life — I really enjoy discovering new places, cultures, and ways of living.
Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, along with reading and practicing yoga, which helps me stay balanced when I’m on the move.
About six years ago, I spent four months traveling in Kenya and Cape Town, which was my first longer experience abroad. From that point moving forward I knew I wanted to travel more and eventually come back to Cape Town. After graduating in 2024, I started traveling again — including a road trip through Canada and the United States, volunteering for three months in a community for people with disabilities on Maui, spending over a month exploring Morocco, and traveling through Central America for another six months, including Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.
I’m definitely looking forward to exploring more parts of the world and continuing to learn from the people and places I encounter along the way.
