Description
I’ve recently turned 60, and I’ve decided it’s finally time for my gap year – a dream that’s been on my list for decades! Life took a different path, as it often does. For the past 20 years, I’ve been a full-time solo parent, raising my kids while working hard to support us. Now that they’ve grown up and flown, it’s my turn.
The idea of taking a gap year had been quietly growing for a while, and I’ve now made it happen – 12 months set aside just for me to explore, reflect, and experience the world more deeply. Travel has always been a priority of mine, my trips were never just holidays – they were full of adventure, discovery, and purpose.
This time around, I’m craving a gentler pace – the chance to slow down, connect with people, immerse myself in different cultures, and seize new opportunities. I’m looking forward to new friendships, unforgettable places, and living this long-held dream with an open heart and curious spirit.

Most of my experience is in admin, and I genuinely enjoy keeping things organised and running smoothly! I’ve worked with small businesses, not-for-profits, and training colleges, and more recently I've been in the health sector, where I coordinate training and education for health professionals.
I’m confident with all things admin, great with computers, and use clear, effective communication – both written and spoken. I’m someone who builds strong connections with all kinds of people, and I bring a positive, can-do attitude to everything I do. I’m adaptable, detail-focused, and always up for solving a challenge!
