  • Description

Hey, my name is Julia, I am 23 years old from Germany. The past 3 years I studied Sports and Event Management at a university in Hamburg. Before I start working full time in that field I would like to travel and work in different countries to learn more about different cultures and lifestyles.

I already was a workawayer before. In 2019/20 after I finished high school I traveled through Canada and worked at different ranches and farms. Throughout that year I worked hard jobs and made so many great friendships, along the way, that last till this day. I can’t wait to experience this kind of life again and make incredible memories.

My plan for my upcoming travel is to tryout many different jobs, experience new things and see the beauty of Europe. I’m hoping to get lots of experience in different work spots and working together with a great Team. I love to be outside and always doing something! I already have encountered working in -40- or 30-Degree weather and working long hour days and I don’t mind any of that. I would love to get to know the community and lifestyle of every host to really experience the country.

I began my travels in september with a Volunteer Program to South Africa. It was amazing to witness the wildlife and life together with so many people from around the world. It was inspiring to see the joy of the African people and their view on the world.
After Africa I travel to Sweden to work on a sled dog farm with Alaskan Malamutes and Greenland dogs. Living out in the country with no running water or electricity is definitely an experience I will forever cherish and being out on the sled in the Swedish forest, with these dogs that are still so close to the wolf, is just an incredible feeling.
Currently I’m in Austria working in a ski resort on mountain hut as a waitress. Enjoying time with my colleagues and spending of days skiing and snowboarding.

  • More details about your skills

I am skiing since I am 3 years old (added snowboarding 11 years ago). I did gymnastics for about 4 years as a child. I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old (had a break for 5 years). I also started wakeboarding with 5 years as well as horseback riding. So all in all I am a athletic person and love to do something. But horseback riding was my most intensive sport. I took part in many competitions over the years and always had a focus on show-jumping. With 13 I startet to work with young horses and train them togther with my coach. When I was 14 years old I started to give riding lessons to children and adults. In my summer breaks I always work as a adviser at pony camps with about 30 children. So I love to work with others and in a team.

  • What else ...

Between 2005 and 2008 I lived with my family in Houston, Texas and I was going to an US school (not international). That opportunity put me in the place to speak fluent English nowadays and I already experienced how it is to live in a new country.
