My husband Mike and I live by our values, which include making a difference and having fun. Workaway seems like a great way to travel and have fun without just being a tourist - it gives us an opportunity to contribute to the communities we are visiting.

Having worked in conservation management (many years ago!) and owned a woodland (recently), I have a range of practical conservation/outdoor skills that hosts might find useful including growing and construction. I love making things, including carving spoons, knitting and sewing. I am an author, so writing should definitely also be included in my skillset! I am fit and healthy, in my happy place walking long distances or working in the woods.

Hosting Julia and Micheal was an absolute pleasure. they were very helpful and I will be forever grateful that they provided the impetus (and did most of the work) to finally finish off my kitchen. highly recommend this couple, great communication and life skills generally. I wish that they had been able to stay for longer....

Jennie and Norman have a superb small farm. Fantastic dogs. Enjoyed our chance to do a little bit of riding with the horses. We enjoyed the general farm tasks and then managed some work in the kitchen. The sleep out was a bit drab. But has access to indoor bathroom and we were able to use the kitchen dining table. Jennie even let me deliver a… read more

Sarndra has a dream to build a small home on her land and live there after selling the current home. There is much to do, loads of incomplete projects all on the go. Sarndra is a great host, knows the area very well and always willing to help you get places if possible. View to the beach superb.

Roger and Brenda are very friendly in use of their orchard house, car and time. Roger is excellent in communicating for your trip.
