I am in the Philippines, a country I fell in love with, for a few months and I am interested in volunteering here.

Description

Hello! I'm Gioia, Italian, 42 yo :)

I'm passionate about independent travelling, discovering remote cultures, learning and teaching languages. I am currently living in the Philippines.

I studied education and anthropology, I work as a primary teacher and in the past I also worked with socially disadvantaged adults and adolescents. I have some experience as a waitress and farmer and I recently got a TEFL diploma for teaching English.

I love volunteering, as a way to immerse in the life of local communities and to share knowledge and energies. In the past few years, I've had very fulfilling volunteering experiences, teaching English in two rural schools in Myanmar and Nepal and helping out in goat/sheep farms in France and Italy. Such experiences have enriched me and taught me a lot.

I enjoy working in the outdoors, I practice aerial dance and yoga, diving and freediving. I'm a calm, adaptable, precise, caring person; I'm good at taking care of kids and working in contact with people; I'd like to gain more experience in customer care in hostels and other tourism facilities. I'm ready to share my skills in child care, customer care, teaching, farming and I'm ready to engage in any type of physical work and learn new skills.
