Description
Hi, my name is Jette and I am a 19 year old university student.
I live in the small city of Lübeck in Germany, close to the ocean in a shared apartment. My current major is medicine, though I am taking a break from my studies at the moment to visit parts of Europe I haven't had the chance to see yet.
I am pretty confident in all things crafty, whether it is delicate or something that involves the use of more heavy machinery. Nature is a place for me to relax, be active and socialise, so I try to be outside as often as possible. I would consider myself to have a wide range of interests and I never miss a chance to try something new. I also enjoy cooking, singing and dancing, though I am not particularly good at either :)
Socializing with others is important to me and I would consider myself easy to get along with. My strengths in terms of work ethic would be my flexibility and structured procedure. Working in groups as well as on my own is fine to me and I am doing it enthusiastically and thoroughly.Interests

I have work experience in the field of farming, from working at an organic farm for 4 weeks, as well as in the field of healthcare from working at a hospital for 3 months.
Working at the farm has taught me to endure long hours of work in the full sun on the fields, so I am used to this monotonic but also meditativ kind of work.
Working at the hospital was way more than just an introduction into healthcare. I was responsible for keeping the patients bed and room clean, responding to their everyday needs and assisting the nurses in any type of work. It has taught me to be quick in picking up new skills and show respect for people of any background, in any state. I was working long hours, either very early or very late and much of the work was not pleasant, but I still enjoyed the feeling of taking responsibility and thereby helping the nurses and making the patients feel a little more at home.
In my Universities hospital, I help in the center for cancer trials with paperwork. It involves a lot of sorting and data research, as well as translating documents and doing anything that was left behind.Age

What else ...
I was very fortunate to have travelled a lot with family and friends, as well as having stayed with an American family for a year in Highschool. Those experiences have made me adaptable to different countries with their variety of cultures and customs.
Traveling is the one thing I enjoy most in life, so it is my goal to visit as many places as possible in my lifetime!
My hopes and expectations of my workaway experience are, to be meeting like- and open-minded people that are willing to share their way of life with me. A place where I feel needed and appreciated for my help. Lots of memories from exciting experiences but also some time to take a step back and simply enjoy the little moments.
A fun fact might be that I have played the trumpet since childhood :)Some more information
