More details about your skills
My work has shaped me into someone who’s reliable, adaptable, and comfortable in hands‑on environments. I enjoy contributing to meaningful projects, learning new skills, and supporting people in practical, everyday ways.
Home maintenance: I own my own house and have spent the last few years maintaining and improving it. I’m comfortable with tools, repairs, organising spaces, and figuring out efficient systems. I painted the interior of the house prior to moving in!
Outdoor & physical work: I’m physically fit — I climb three times a week, train at the gym, and run regularly — so I’m well suited for gardening, lifting, carrying, cleaning, and general labour.
Animal care: I grew up with a dog and feel very at ease around animals. I’m patient, observant, and happy to help with feeding, walking, or general care.
Clear communication & teamwork:My physiotherapy background means I’m used to working closely with people, listening well, and adapting to different personalities and needs.
Initiative & independence: I don’t need prompting to get things done. If something needs doing or maintaining, I naturally step in and take care of it without waiting for instructions.
Problem‑solving mindset:I’m analytical and practical. I enjoy troubleshooting, improving workflows, and finding smarter ways to approach tasks.
Health & wellbeing knowledge: I’m open to using my physiotherapy skills to help hosts or other volunteers with general aches, pains, or minor injuries. I’m happy to share what I know to help improve peoples long term health.
Adaptable and quick to learn: I pick up new skills fast and enjoy being in new environments and cultures.
Organised and detail‑oriented: I like keeping spaces tidy and systems running smoothly.
