Hi everyone, I’m Jasmijn, a 21 year old girl from The Netherlands. I have spend most of my childhood outside taking care of horses and other animals. When I grew older this spare time unfortunately had to make place for school activities… I finished my study of film and photography, and am right now taking a gap year to work on my portfolio and to be able to get back to the feeling of being in the open air surrounded by nature and loving animals and people. I am hard working and not afraid to get my hands dirty ;) My horse journey began when I was just 6 years old riding at a riding school, after that I started taking care of other peoples horses and have always enjoyed doing so, the chores I did and the variety of the horses (from small ponies to Spanish stallions) have already learned me a lot about horses in the past and I would love to learn even more.
Also my job in the catering industry teaches me to be sophisticated and work hard. I really enjoy being busy, especially outdoors! I also enjoy spending time alone.
In the summer of 2022 I did my first Workaway, together with my sister I visited a small town in Cocconato, Italy. Unfortunately we could only stay there for about a week because we had to get back to school. We helped taking care of the animals and spend some time with their daughter when they were away.
I'm looking forward to new adventures...

I have years of experience working with horses, on the ground, riding them and doing the daily chores as well. Although it is a little while back working with them on a daily basis I do think I will get back into the rhythm real quick as it has been a routine for a long time in my life. Also enjoy just taking care/cuddling with animals and doing all the chores that come with the responsibility.
I also enjoy doing tasks like cleaning, building, painting and other chores that need to be done. I may not be the best cook yet but sure am willing to practice and learn! I'am used to being independent and to take care of myself, but also love a good chat and to share experiences with others.
